Day at the park in DECEMBER!!!!

This is Tennessee weather for you! It's the end of December and its mid 50's out! My sister-in-law's brother is in town with his family so we decided to take all the kiddo's to the park since it was so nice out! Ryan (Jaime's brother) and I went to High School together and his wife Holly was my best friend growing up little sister so needless to say I know them both well and was glad to get to visit with them. There two children are beautiful (Hunter & Gracie). I think the two girls were a little jealous of THEIR Uncle Jim! When he had one girl the other would just look at him...watching his every move. He's definitely a great Uncle and all the little one's LOVE him!!!

Merry Christmas 2008!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This was an awesome Christmas with Rileigh. She really got into it this year which makes it more fun as parents! I can't imagine what next year will be like and the years after. I'm sure they will only get better and better!

We were actually home for Christmas this year (1st time in 10 years!) Christmas Eve we went to Huntsville,AL to visit Dennis parents and do Christmas with them. Rileigh was cracking us up, she would tear into the package and then have to stop and play with each new toy for about 5-10 minutes each! I thought we would never get them all opened! Her favorite toy I think she got was a new baby doll. She has really gotten into her babies. She got LOTS of great things and loves them all. Dennis and I had a good Christmas too, I got my new digital camera I had been wanting and Dennis finally got his Wii that he has been wanting! Thank you so much Sharon and Dennis for all the great gifts. So back to the new baby doll Rileigh got....on the way home we thought for sure Rileigh would sleep. She didn't really get a nap and stayed awake the whole trip down. It was raining outside and kinda hard to see the road and the WHOLE trip home 2 1/2 hours all Rileigh would talk about is this new baby! She didn't want to hold it, she would pick it up for a few minutes then throw it down on the ground and scream "baby,baby,baby" until you picked it back up and gave it to her. This went on several times before I was done playing this game. Dennis and I both agree to just let her cry...little did we know she was going to cry and scream "baby,baby,baby" for 2 hours! Needless to say we both had a headache when we got home!!!

Christmas morning we were at home for Santa to come visit. She was so cute when she woke up and saw the presents under the tree she went right over and sat down ready to open them. She had the hang of this opening presents thing! After opening them and getting a few more new babies to play with she walked over to the door put her coat on and said" bye-bye". She was ready to go to another house to see what else she could open!!! It was so cute, we couldn't help but laugh at her!
That afternoon we went to my brothers house for Christmas with my family. With the birth of Garrison Jim and Jaime were home this year for Christmas too! Jamie's mom and dad were down to help out with the little one's and for Christmas. Rileigh was in heaven when she saw MORE presents to open! Plus since Emily & Garrison was too young to open there's she got to help Uncle Jim & Aunt Jaime open them too! Needless to say she had a GREAT Christmas and got LOTS of great things! Thanks so much to our families for getting Rileigh so many great things! She wouldn't of had this great of a Christmas without all of y'all!

Christmas Party at School 2008

Rileigh had a christmas party for her last day of school. Dennis and I was excited because we both got to attend the party!! The kids got to decorate the christmas tree on the wall, it was cute the one girl would take them down as soon as the kids would put there's on the tree! They also did a book exchange between the kids. The teachers made all the kids a bag with there pictures from the first day of school along with their names on it, they turned out so good! I just love her two teachers, they are so good to my little girl. Every tue/thur I tell Rileigh its time to go to school today, do you want to go see your friends and teachers and she always says "yea". She's so excited to go each week. That means so much to us that she loves it and enjoys going. She thinks she's such a big girl each week walking to her class room. She has to stop and say hi to everyone on the way...she's such a social butterfly! Let me tell you its a LONG walk down to her class room!!! :-) I think every teacher there knows Rileigh. It just amazes me how all these people know Rileigh by name.

Rileigh was on a sugar high after the party! We don't give her a lot of sweets and she got to eat cookies and everything else today!! She was smiling from ear to ear while eating, she even took the boys next to her and started to eat his too!

Horse and Carriage Ride!

We took Rileigh on her first horse and carriage ride today!!! When she woke up this morning we asked her if she wanted to go ride the horse today she said "yea" and then ran to the front door to look at the horses across the street! She was so excited I swear she kept saying horse all day!

At the Avenue Mall they are giving free horse and carriage rides for the month of December. It was cold out there but we all bundled up and went! We got there right when they open at 2pm so we didn't have to wait out in the cold too long! (the things we do for a FREE activity!!)

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

We had a WONDERFUL thanksgiving with my family.The food was good and the company was GREAT! The girls were so cute mom made them matching "turkey" dresses- they turned out sooooo cute! I saw it online and wanted one for Rileigh, I decided before I order one I'm going to see if mom can't make it for her....after she finished the dress it turned out sooo cute that Jaime wanted one made for Emily! Now just wait to see the Christmas dress mom made for them!!! :-) Jaime and I decided that it is cute to dress them alike now and wanted too before they got too old and wanted there own styles!!!

Emily has really started to get a personality now days! We put her on Rileigh's favorite toy...the aquarium mat...I think she loved it as much as Rileigh did! So much that she took it home with her!!!!

And of course my FAVORITE thing about Thanksgiving...Black Friday shopping!!!! I got up at 2:45am so I could be at Wal-mart around 4:00'ish!!! I had my shopping ad's out, everything circled I was ready to go!! I got everything on my list so I was a happy camper! My brother was like a little kid picking out his Christmas items, he made his circles too!!! LOL

Rileigh went Trick or Treating at Farmington with the Pippin's! She did good, she walked up to the houses and open her bag. The people that gave her good stuff she blew kisses to them!!! 14 months old!

Rileigh amazes me on how much she knows at 14 months old. You can ask her where her nose, ear, tummy, & toes are and she knows where there at! She knows how to say: dog, duck, mommy, daddy, hi, drink, juice, uh-o, and her newest word is WOW-I'm sure I'm forgetting something! If you say One she will say Two and then your done!!!! If you ask her something and she wants it she will say "yea" I've got to say at a young age she knows what she wants and what she doesn't want!!! She is very opinionated!

She LOVES to dance, anytime music is on she is shaking her booty! She also loves reading books, every night before bed she grabs her animal book and gets up on the couch and reads it. If you ask her where the dog is she points to it same with duck, and cat! She is definitely her daddy's child when it comes to the brains! We are so proud of you Rileigh keep this up and college might be paid for!!!

They had live music playing and as soon as she heard it she wanted out of the stroller and started dancing!!! We took some pictures but this would of been a great moment to have the video camera (which we took but Daddy forgot it in the car!) She loved decorating the cookie but I think she enjoyed eating it more!!! We had a great time watching her have so much fun!

After we got done with the Hoedown @ WOC we went and saw Uncle Jim & Aunt Jaime & Emily at Northside Church. She got to decorated a pumpkin there! We walked around for a few minutes and did Trunk or Treat!

Rileigh had her one year pictures made at Rutledge Falls, Tullahoma. Our photographer told us about the place, I had never heard of it but I'm glad we took her advise and went! It was a beautiful place. The hike down to the waterfall wasn't too bad, although I'm glad Dennis was there to take Rileigh down!

Rileigh went to her first GT game in Georgia. She probably would of enjoyed it a lot more if she had her nap!!! It's a little different going to a GT game vs. MTSU!!! Their are a LOT more people there!!! She always has fun playing with her cousins though! It was a great weekend!

This weekend we stayed around home. She got to play with her friends McKenzie and Nate! It was so cute they all crawled up on the couch and read a book- couldn't get them to do that again if we wanted too!!!

First Camping trip! (13 months old)

We took Rileigh on her first camping trip this weekend! She did GREAT. I got to say I was kinda nervous about taking her not knowing how she would do not sleeping in her own bed. She played all day at the camp site with her toys and the other kids(I thought she would get bored being out there all day with limited toys, but nope she had a blast). I can't say we really rough necked it this year we did sleep inside a camper!!!! (Thanks Joe and Carol!) We kicked the guys outside so us girls and kids could have a bed! I thought it was just me when I go camping I get up early....well so does Rileigh!!! She was up at 5:45AM! Needless to say when we got home we all took a 2 1/2 hr. nap!!! Now that we see she is our little outdoors girl we will definitely be planning some camping trips next year!!!!
